I am a working mom trying to balance motherhood and work, along with sewing, knitting and hopefully sometime soon again, mosaics. I am just beginning to sew, having taken a few classes. I would love to sew my entire wardrobe in the future like some other sewing bloggers out there. I have knitted for over five years and tried a lot of different techniques. I wouldn’t say I’m an expert, but I’m not a newbie either. My love for mosaics started right before I moved to New York and once here, I discovered the city was full of mosaics — in the subway, at Rockefeller Center, just about everywhere in the most random places. So I took a class, courtesy of my best friend, and was hooked. With the birth of my son, mosaics has been put on the back burner due to the multitudes of glass shards in making mosaics. But I hope to return to it soon. I have a sneaking suspicion that this blog will deal with sewing quite a bit in the beginning until I find a balance between being a single parent and all my other interests. After all, being a parent is the most important of all my crafts. 😉
